Michigan Ski For Light

 

Ski for Light is our parent organization. Michigan Ski for Light sponsors Guides and Participants to this week long event. Some of the locations where Ski for Light has been held are Granby, Colorado, Green Bay, Wisconsin, Anchorage, Alaska. We encourage everyone to attend this event at least once. Guides are always needed.

Redderrennets Venner is the grand daddy of them all. The King of Norway started this to encourage all to experience the thrill of winter sports.

Cross-country Ski Headquarters located near Roscommon Michigan provides the ski rentals for our January outing.

Lee's Sports assists with the Kayak for Light outing by providing additional kayaks and arranging for the use of Ramona Park.

West Michigan Coastal Kayakers Association This Kayak club invites the blind and visually impaired to a Saturday of kayaking. They provide the kayaks, safety equipment and guides for a fun day on the water.

Camp Tuhsmeheta: A camp providing outdoor education and recreation specifically adapted for blind children.

The Blind Starfish: A blind/low vision self-help group located in the Kalamazoo, Portage area.

Bay Cliff Health Camp: The primary mission of Bay Cliff is to serve children and adults with physical disabilities.
