Kayak for Light - Saturday, July 12th, 2008

On July 12, 2008 we will be at Ramona Park in Portage enjoying new kayaking experiences on beautiful Long Lake. Last year, thanks to WMCKA, Lee's Sports, and the City of Portage, we had a well organized and safe event. Lee's set up shade cabanas at the beach and provided kayaks, paddles, life jackets, and a wonderful staff to assist in the fun. Countless other volunteers brought their personal kayaks and extra equipment so everyone had the oppertunity to try tandem or solo paddling. The lunch and snacks will be provided by WMCKA. The food was excellent last year and very welcomed after a long morning of kayaking. The world record for hotdog consumption has not yet been broken by any of our kayakers so the challenge continues. Thanks to all who attended in 2007 and we're looking forward to seeing new faces in 2008 to add to the group! Consider this a special invitation to anyone who is interested in joining the fun this year.
Please email Bill & Anne that you are attending and how many are in your party so that we can get a head count for lunch.
